Bodrum – Gökova Blue Cruise Route: A 7-Day Itinerary
The Gulf of Gökova is a classic blue cruise area: moderate winds most days and bays close to one another. Here is a typical seven-day itinerary out of Bodrum.
Day 1 — Bodrum → Çökertme
Depart Bodrum in the afternoon and anchor in Çökertme Bay for the evening. A calm start with a walk along the beach.
Day 2 — Çökertme → Seven Islands
The emblem of Gökova. Clear shallow water between small islets: the best stop for snorkelling and paddleboarding.
Day 3 — Seven Islands → English Harbour
A sheltered natural harbour where ships hid during the Second World War. One of the safest anchorages on windy days.
Day 4 — English Harbour → Karacasöğüt
A quiet village surrounded by pine forest. You can go ashore and have dinner at one of the fish restaurants.
Day 5 — Karacasöğüt → Cleopatra (Sedir) Island
Famous for its unique sand. The grains are protected: shoes are not allowed on the beach and sand may not be taken away.
Day 6 — Sedir Island → Çamlı / Akbük
The last quiet stops on the way back. Swimming breaks and sunset at anchor.
Day 7 — Return to Bodrum
An early departure brings you back to Bodrum harbour around midday, where the cruise ends.
Notes
- Gökova is a Special Environmental Protection Area; anchoring is forbidden in some bays and your skipper will know where.
- The wind usually picks up in the afternoon, so long passages are made in the morning.
- The route may be changed by the skipper according to weather conditions.
